Prop styling Madeleine Shaw's gorgeous new cookbook A YEAR OF BEAUTIFUL EATING was - hands down - one of the best experiences of my foodie career to date. Sure I've had some good gigs before and since, but this one you guys, was extra special. Being surrounded by the best food stylists and photographers in London was mind blowing and I learned so, so much. Plus I got to meet Madeleine, who was really lovely. She gave us lots of creative freedom, which was empowering and terrifying all at the same time. But I think we did her proud as the book came out looking stunning!

Just over a week ago, Silvia and I hosted our first ever supperclub in South West London. It was - I must say - an experience and a half. Never having cooked within a professional setting before and then finding myself cooking for 29 (!) people at once was daunting and intense to say the least. But, with Silvia (love that girl) by my side, we somehow managed to put some pretty amazing dishes on the table all of which I am immensely proud of. Oh and we had a blast whilst doing it! The night was made extra special as a result of the generosity of our amazing sponsors. I can't believe it's already a week ago since the 3-day food photography and food styling course Aimee and I taught has come to an end. We had SUCH a lovely time and in fact today's images, which were taken on day 2 of the workshop really, really capture the essence of what our workshop was about; lots of great food, lovely company and heaps of visual inspiration and creativity. I personally believe the images of day 2 were extra special as one of our 'students', the super talented Silvia, was present and SO generous as to share her vegan focaccia recipe with us as well as her incredible knowledge when it comes to styling.

It was probably around this time last year that Aimee from Twigg Studios asked me to run a food styling and food photography workshop with her in what seemed the unbelieveably distant future (March 2017!). Without hesitation I said yes and man, am I glad that I did. Though Aimee and I are VERY different people, us working together always kinda sorta really goes! And, I feel our lovely work connection shone through in this weekend's 3-day food photography and food styling workshop which was held at my humble, cosy home 'studio' in South East London. We only took 4 students each day to allow for lots of 1-2-1 attention and were over the moon that the workshop was sold out :).

It's an I-am-gonna-tell-you-some-personal-stuff-about-me kinda day today. I know you didn't ask for this info, but I'm in the mood for sharing anyway, so here goes:

Fact number 1: I am a self confessed fruit junky! I love fruit! I eat fruit ever day and I think I'd loose the will to live if fruit weren't a part of my life. Seriously!
Fact number 2: After all's been said and done, I am a simple girl at heart.
Fact number 3: Though I adore exotic fruit with lots of crazy cool names, flavours and colours, my most favoruite fruits tend to grow close to home, so I can enjoy them in season and without the airmiles attached.
