SPICED APPLE MOCKTAIL RECIPE
And here it is, Autumn! It feels like yesterday we were battling a mini heatwave and now we’re enjoying misty, chilly mornings. The light right now feels so dreamy, but days are getting shorter, have you noticed?
I love this early Autumn period where it’s not summer anymore, but also not proper Autumn either. Hence, I still refuse to put on my thick sweaters and you won’t see me reaching for the pumpkin pie just yet. Instead, I’m choosing to enjoy these autumnal vibes with the classic fall flavours of apple and cinnamon, while keeping my drinks firmly on the cooler side – just for a little longer!
You’ve probably noticed by now that I’m on a mocktail roll! I brought you this watermelon mocktail and this beer mocktail in summer, so it feels fitting to welcome the new season with a mocktail all its own too! I mean, what’s not to love about combining interesting flavours to make a drink that is unique and delicious? It’s true that there is a huge variety of scrumptious non-alcoholic drinks available to buy nowadays, but it’s so much more fun to whip up something equally delicious in your own kitchen, with ingredients whose names you actually recognize ;) .
So I’m sticking with my delightful, refreshing and easy homemade mocktails, while celebrating autumn with this yummy seasonal version including apple, ginger, cinnamon and kombucha! Can you imagine the explosion of flavours? A hint of warming spice combined with sweet refreshing apple and the light effervescence of kombucha tea. Bliss!
I first made this delicious mocktail recently while teaching a private workshop. Take a peek at how it came together in my Spiced Apple Mocktail Recipe Reel HERE! If you’re looking for tips on how to level-up your own drinks styling skills head HERE to get a FREE download with my best pointers!

Spiced apple mocktail
A refreshing, delightful and seasonal mocktail with apple, ginger and kombucha
Preparation time: 3-4 min
Serves: 1-2
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup apple juice
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp fresh ginger juice
1 tbs fresh lemon juice
1 tbs maple syrup (optional)
Ice
1/2 cup kombucha
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix together all the ingredients bar the kombucha, and give it a good stir or shake.
Pour into a glass filled with ice, add the kombucha and enjoy!
Garnish with apple slices, cinnamon sticks and/or star anise to evoke that autumnal vibe!
Optional: rim the glass with lime juice and a cinnamon sugar mixture
Note: I didn’t add sweetener because to me it feels just right as it is, but if you like your mocktails sweet, add a tablespoon of maple syrup.
