WHAT ARE LIGHTROOM PRESETS FOR MOBILE?

Lightroom presets for mobile are similar to filters (as seen on Instagram), only better. They save editing adjustments so that you can easily re-apply the same settings to your images on your phone again and again. This gives you the opportunity to create a branded, signature and cohesive photography look. These presets need to be used on the Lightroom app, available for free on your mobile phone (or on desktop too as part of your paid for Adobe Creative Cloud subscription). Please note, if you wish to purchase the presets to use on your images shot with your DSLR, please go here.

WILL YOUR LIGHTROOM PRESETS WORK FOR NON-FOOD RELATED PHOTOGRAPHY?

These Lightroom presets have been specifically designed, tried and tested for food photography, however you might find they work for other types of shots too :).

WILL THESE LIGHTROOM PRESETS WORK WITH ARTIFICIALLY LIT FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY?

No! These presets have been designed for use in natural light situations only. They will not work if you use artificial lighting.

ARE THE PRESETS TRICKY TO DOWNLOAD?

Absolutely not! I’m no tech whiz and I made it work, so I know you can too. Nonetheless, when you purchase these presets you’ll get a HOW TO DOWNLOAD MY PRESETS guide, to walk you through step by step.

DO I NEED TO HAVE THE LIGHTROOM APP ON MY PHONE TO BE ABLE TO USE THESE PRESETS?

Yes! You can download the Lightroom editing app for free onto you mobile phone and use the presets there. The presets used on your free Lightroom mobile app will have a .dng extension.

If you have purchased the Adobe Creative Cloud, you can download the Lightroom editing app onto your mobile for free too and benefit from some additional features the free version does not have as well as sync your Lightroom CC presets from your desktop version to your mobile app version. The presets however will work exactly the same on the paid or free version of Lightroom for mobile.

WHAT’S YOUR REFUND POLICY?

As these are digital products, once you download them I don’t offer any refunds or returns. I am so sorry. Hence, please check the before and afters closely to make sure these are right for you.

WILL EACH PRESET WORK ON EVERY SINGLE IMAGE?

Not necessarily, which is why you have 14 to play with! Some work better when you shoot warmer foods like chocolates or pumpkins, others work better when you’re shooting foods that include cooler toned foods like berries and such. The detailed accompanying ‘HOW TO’ information will break everything down for you, so don’t even worry about it.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE COMPLETE PACK?

CAN I USE THE PRESETS ON ANY OTHER EDITING SOFTWARE THAT ISN’T LIGHTROOM CC?

No! Please note these presets will not be useable on any other editing software like Photoshop, Snapseed or Capture One 

WILL THE LIGHTROOM CC PRESETS WORK ON JPEG IMAGES?

Yes, absolutely, that’s what they were designed for.

IF I USE YOUR PRESETS WILL MY IMAGES LOOK EXACTLY LIKE YOURS?

Gosh I hope not! The TLP light food photography Lightroom presets are the ones I currently use, however I hope that they will allow you to establish a look that you like and - from there - enable you to develop your own style.

ONCE I APPLY THE PRESET, WILL I NEED TO DO ANY FURTHER EDITING?

Possibly. The presets don’t adjust white balance or exposure for example. Any additional editing suggests will be outlined in the HOW TO guide that comes with the presets. Personally I apply the preset and make at most 2-3 minor adjustments.

With the help of these presets my editing takes me 2-5 minutes at most my aim is that the same will apply to you.

I LOVE SUBTLE USE OF COLOUR AND VERY MUTED TONES, ARE THESE PRESETS RIGHT FOR ME?

Though each preset is very different and some, like soft linen and dark clay have a gentler feel, most focus on deep, rich colours as shown in the examples on this page.

WILL YOUR LIGHTROOM MOBILE PRESETS 'FIX' A PHOTO I TOOK THAT DIDN'T COME OUT RIGHT?

No! Please remember, presets are there to take a correctly exposed and well composed food photography image from good to jaw droppingly gorgeous.
