BEST GIFTS FOR FOOD PHOTOGRAPHERS & CREATORS (2025 HOLIDAY GUIDE)
It’s that time of year again when wish lists grow, dreams of the year ahead start forming, and we get to spoil ourselves or the food photographers and content creators in our lives whom we most adore.
So whether you’re shopping for a seasoned pro, a budding food creator, or looking to level up your own food photography setup, finding the perfect gift can feel a little overwhelming sometimes.
That’s why I’ve put together this curated 2025 Gift Guide for Food Photographers and Food Content Creators, which includes all the things that I know will make your content creation and food photography journey that little bit extra fun!
Now, I hope you find a gift (or two) here that will inspire you, delight you and genuinely make a difference in how you feel capturing food!
for THOSE WHO SEEK SOMETHING THEY WILL USE EVERY DAY
I know I included the LaCie external hard drive in a previous Christmas Gift Guide too, but the truth is, life as a food content creator and food photographer isn’t possible without 1 (or 2 or 3) of these! External hard drives give the option to back up and save your important client work. They also free up space on your camera cards, computer and iPhone, which can quickly get clogged up with heavy RAW photo files and even larger video files!
A great favour you can do yourself or the food contain creator in your life, is to grab a MOFT Invisible Phone Tripod Stand! I have one permanently attached to my phone which means I can create content on the go whenever the mood strikes me! If you use code THELITTLEPLANTATION15 at checkout you get 15% off too, so what are you waiting for?
Please note this MOFT code is only eligible for tripod/tripod wallet on the side and will be valid through Jan 30th. Thereafter please use THELITTLEPLANTATION for 10% off!
FOR THOSE WHO LOVE TO COOK
I know both of these gift ideas for food lovers are investment pieces, but hear me out! If you're shopping for a food photographer or food content creator (or treating yourself), there’s no point wasting time on the basics - they already have those. These gifts actually make life easier, healthier and way more creative.
First up: the Vitamix. Truly LIFE CHANGING. It whips up the smoothest soups, the creamiest smoothies and it’s a total essential for any busy creative who wants to stay energised and well-fed. I couldn’t live without mine, and it’s a staple in any serious foodie’s kitchen.
Then we have the Our Place WonderOven. Some people think she’s all style and no substance, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Ours is used daily - toast in the morning, air-fried tofu at lunch, leftovers for dinner. She’s cute enough to live on the countertop, heats up super fast and always gets compliments. Highly recommended.
FOR THOSE EAGER TO GET CREATIVE
Is the FUJI X-T4 camera the most advanced, most professional camera you ever did see? No, but does it capture shots with an utterly gorgeous cinematic vibe, absolutely! The colours, the textures, everything this camera captures feels as if it were from a time gone by, whilst still ensuring your shots look sharp, professional and edgy. Plus the camera is so, so stunning to look at and super compact too, ideal for travelling foodies. BTS if you can add the Fuji flash to your Christmas Wishlist too, I would.
With the never ending demands for content on all the endless social media platforms, it’s easy to run out of recipe and food content ideas. And that’s where this fun little workbook, Stay Inspired by Brandon Stosuy, comes into play. It’s full of interesting questions and mini exercises that help spark creativity and ensure you feel motivated to show up your best behind the camera. Yet, as it’s quite a compact book, it doesn’t feel overwhelming either. Highly recommended!
FOR THOSE WHO LOVE THEIR GEAR
2026 is THE year to go all in on videography; it’s one of the few ways to stand out from the crowd, add personality to your content and beat AI at a game it can’t play (yet)! This means that we need all the right gear to put ourselves and our creativity front and centre and I can’t think of a better gadget than the DJI Mini 4K Drone to make that happen!
If you’re at a slightly earlier stage of your food content creation journey, why not make your phone videography extra cool and noteworthy with the fisheye lens from Sandmarc? This lens will allow you to inject some really funky shots in your recipe reels, DITL videos and even your mobile phone photography! A must for phone creators, for sure!
That’s all folks! Hope there’s something here that’s perfect for under the Christmas tree. Wishing you all a gorgeous festive period.
