The aim of this challenge is to fine tune your food photography, food styling and composition skills, and to provide you with the support and encouragement of an amazing online community. And the best part? It's FREE!

THE INSTAGRAM FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY & REEL CREATIOn CHALLENGE TIMETABLE
THE CHALLENGE IS NOW CLOSED. PLEASE SIGN UP TO JOIN NEXT SEASON’S CHALLENGE. You have until MIDNIGHT Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on Saturday, January 13th 2024 to sign up to this FREE Instagram food photography and reel creation challenge by joining the mailing list at the end of this blog post!
You will receive two e-mails on Sunday January 14th and Monday January 15th, 2024 with an outline of the 4 themes, inspiring moodboards, food photography and reel creation tips, some important information and of course the designated hashtag for the challenge.
You will be showcasing your work on your Instagram grid on Tuesday 23rd, Wednesday 24th, Thursday 25th and Saturday 27th January, so mark those dates in your diary today!
We’ll announce the winners and runners up on Sunday, January 28th LIVE on Instagram as part of an action packed and informative Q&A. Will I see you there?
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE CHALLENGE?
Everyone! Complete beginners, intermediate creatives and professional photographers and food content creators, there’s something for everyone. The challenge is about pushing your own boundaries and being as artistic and creative as you want to be.

Yes! However, the themes will be set in such a way that you'll have lots of artistic freedom to interpret them in whichever way you like.

No, you can use a regular camera, an iPhone or smart phone camera or anything else you have at hand.

No, of course not. There's no pressure to “perform”. It's all about having fun and thinking outside the box. However, if at all possible I'd really recommend you try your hand at every theme to reap the benefits of regularly taking pictures, fine tuning your Instagram gallery and developing your visual story telling abilities.

I promise I'll look at all the images submitted, but I may not have the time to comment on every entry. However, if you'd like to study more closely with me I suggest you consider joining my FOUNDATION online course and becoming part of my student insider community.

It depends. Please read your last few emails thoroughly as they will clearly state if you’ve pre-registered or not.
