IS INSTAGRAM CHANGING TO A FOUR ACROSS GRID? (AND WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU AS A CREATIVE)

NOTE: This blog post is part 7 of my INSTAGRAM SERIES - content all about helping YOU manage your way around instagram. In the INSTAGRAM SERIES I've touched on subjects such as why you're losing followers (and what to do about it), how to grow your instagram following and (the popular) simple tips to enjoy instagram (despite the algorithms). Just click here to find all the other parts in the series.

Now I admit that today's topic IS INSTAGRAM CHANGING TO A 4-ACROSS GRID? Isn't half as juicy as last time's offering. However, considering the outrage (yes, really!) the possible change in grid layout has caused among the creative community, I felt it was worth writing a quick note about.

NOTE: This blog post is part 6 of my INSTAGRAM SERIES - content all about helping YOU manage your way around instagram. In the INSTAGRAM SERIES I've touched on subjects such as why you're losing followers (and what to do about it), how to grow your instagram following and shadowbanning. Just click here to find all the other parts in the series. Now on with today's post!

I agree HOW INSTAGRAM IS TRYING TO GET RID OF (FOOD) BLOGGERS is somewhat of a provokative blog title, but in essence it's the only way to escribe what currently happening in the mysterious world of instagram. And though the title is tongue in cheek of course, I'd dare say today's blog post is by far my most 'serious'. So, if you're a full-time blogger or someone considering making blogging your career then please read on!

3 REASONS YOU ARE LOSING INSTAGRAM FOLLOWERS (AND WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT)

Welcome to part 2 of my INSTAGRAM SERIES all about improving your photography, manoeuvering your way around instagram and growing your blog traffic. In part 1 I provided 5 tips on making your travel photography on instagram stand out and this week we're looking at the top 3 reasons you are losing instagram followers.

It's so frustrating, right? You're posting your best pictures and are still losing instagram followers by the bucket load. You've not changed your photography and are posting great content, though somehow your followers are leaving your instagram account in droves and you can't figure out why. Despite your best efforts you can't seem to gain traction and grow your instagram following. Confusing and frankly a tiny bit upsetting, isn't it?

3-DAY LONDON FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY AND FOOD STYLING WORKSHOP WITH TWIGG STUDIOS

3-DAY LONDON FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY AND FOOD STYLING WORKSHOP WITH TWIGG STUDIOS

It was probably around this time last year that Aimee from Twigg Studios asked me to run a food styling and food photography workshop with her in what seemed the unbelieveably distant future (March 2017!). Without hesitation I said yes and man, am I glad that I did. Though Aimee and I are VERY different people, us working together always kinda sorta really goes! And, I feel our lovely work connection shone through in this weekend's 3-day food photography and food styling workshop which was held at my humble, cosy home 'studio' in South East London. We only took 4 students each day to allow for lots of 1-2-1 attention and were over the moon that the workshop was sold out :).
